Every project I’ve worked on holds a special place in my heart, but the truth is, the next one always excites me more than the last. Today, that excitement is centered around Hiranandani Sands, Alibaug. Spread across 225 acres, almost the same scale as Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. This project carries the same ambition but with an entirely new energy. This coastal township is designed to blend nature, hospitality, and world-class infrastructure, creating a unique lifestyle destination. Each brick laid here is part of a vision that pushes the boundaries of what a coastal township can be.
A Natural Setting Like No Other
Alibaug offers something that few destinations in India can boast of: a natural canvas of rare beauty. A protected Wetland Park borders the township and includes 25 acres of forest that we have adopted and enriched with over 7,000 trees. This ecological foundation ensures that the project does not just coexist with nature but actively nurtures it. For me, it was crucial that this development did not compromise the soul of Alibaug, but instead amplified its green identity. Nature here is not a backdrop, it is the protagonist of the entire experience.
The Magic of the Coastline
When I stand at the 3 km stretch of pristine beachfront, I am reminded why this destination is unlike any other. From water sports to an experience centre launching this year, this coastline is designed to be alive with activity while retaining its unspoiled charm. Unlike typical beach destinations that become over-commercialized, we are committed to balancing leisure with responsibility. The sea breeze, the sound of the waves, and the uninterrupted horizon offer a lifestyle that feels like a permanent vacation. I see this beachfront evolving into a cultural and recreational hub for residents and visitors alike.
Homes for Every Lifestyle
One of the most fulfilling aspects of this township is its diversity of homes. From first homes to second homes, from apartments to plots, villas, and serviced apartments, Alibaug is designed to serve multiple needs and aspirations. This inclusivity allows young professionals, families, and even retirees to find their perfect space within the township. I believe true community living emerges when people from different walks of life come together in one place. Alibaug is where luxury meets accessibility, creating a vibrant neighborhood by the coast.
Building a Hospitality Hub
As part of our long-term vision, four new hotels are planned in this project. These will add immense value to the region, especially given the limited premium hospitality options currently available in Alibaug. Hospitality has always been a catalyst for economic growth, and here, it will also serve as a gateway for tourism, events, and cultural experiences. I envision Alibaug becoming the preferred weekend retreat not only for Mumbai but also for global travelers. With every hotel that comes up, we are strengthening the town’s position on the map as a luxury destination.
Destination-Scale Events and Experiences
Hiranandani Sands is not just about homes and hotels; it is about creating experiences at scale. A 1,000-seater convention centre is planned alongside an upgraded clubhouse, inspired by our successful townships in Powai, Thane, Chennai, and Panvel. These facilities will make Alibaug a magnet for corporate events, weddings, and cultural festivals. The idea is to build a destination where people don’t just reside but gather, celebrate, and create memories. This is what will give Alibaug the vibrancy of a global coastal town.
Why Alibaug Matters Today?
Alibaug isn’t just another township. It is a chance to create a sustainable, multi-use coastal destination that will be as iconic as Powai, but with the sea breeze, mangroves, and open skies as its permanent neighbours. The thrill lies in knowing that this project will transform lives, not just for the residents, but for the entire Alibaug region. It will open doors for employment, hospitality, tourism, and cultural exchange. At this stage in my career, building something that touches so many aspects of community life feels deeply rewarding.
